Saltire Rare Malt Secures Double Win at the 2025 Scottish Whisky Awards

Independent bottler Saltire Rare Malt, based in Fife, has taken home two major honours at this year’s Scottish Whisky Awards, marking an impressive debut year for the newcomer.

Saltire Rare Malt was awarded Best Newcomer and Best Single Malt Over 13 Years for its 17-year-old Craigellachie release — a bottling praised by judges for its balance, depth, and clarity of flavour. Founded in 2024, Saltire Rare Malt has quickly gained attention for its small-batch cask selections and transparent sourcing ethos.

The Scottish Whisky Awards celebrate excellence across the industry, recognising both heritage distilleries and new independent bottlers that bring innovation and craftsmanship to Scotch whisky. For Saltire Rare Malt, the double win affirms its place among Scotland’s most promising new whisky names.
